礼品之路 ( Lǐpǐn zhī lù ) – the Gift of Sorrow

image

Sorrow is essential.   She is to happiness, what the moon is to the sun.

Sorrow reminds us.

That we are alive.

That we are living.

Sorrow proves to us, that we care.

That we are able to connect.

Have compassion.

She who’ve not felt deep sobbing sorrow,  cannot hope to live in happiness.

Weep.

About someone you miss.

About something lost.

A relationship.

A time.

An opportunity.

Weep.

About injustice.

Hunger.

Poverty.

Slavery.

Death.

Weep loudly.

Wail.

Whimper.

Salty wet tears.

Let them stream.

They are your humanity.

Your being.

Love.

Streaming from deep within.

Sorrow is a gift.

From the Gift.

Sorrow reminds us that we are, in all the isolation of a post-modern world, knit together, in at-one-ness, with creation, from whenever into ever.

Sorrow allows us to pause.

See.

With eyes washed clear.

Sorrow allows us to cherish.

Confucius suggested ‘he who looks inside his own being, often, every day, will become more’.

Sorrow washes our being.

Flooding from inside, pushing it to the surface, so that we have space, again.

It cleanses.

Always.

And in sorrow’s current is pulled happiness, towards us.

As we bring into remembrance.

With gratitude.

For what was.

And is.

And will be.

As we live.

Gift.

Received.

From the Sourceror.

To be gift.

Our happiness, eternally framed by love and peace, as it is soaked in sorrow.
